Problems with Echo Show 8 3rd generation
I recently bought a brand new Echo Show. I bought the devicefrom a seller on Ebay and not Amazon. Unfortunately I cannot register it to my Amazon Account. I have called Amazon and they are unable to help. They suggested it may still be registered tosomeone else.
I have tried to contact the seller but have got nowhere. Does anyone know if it's possible to unlock it or set it up by some other way?
Many thanks.

Hi judyvin,
Have a look at YouTube

I was given a 2nd hand Echo Dot, and had to re register it,
can't remember any problems.
Good luck

Hello there!
Thank you for the details. Let's try the instructions for resetting the device and see if that makes a difference. Here's how you can Reset using buttons :
Press and hold the Mute and Volume Down buttons until you see the Amazon logo (about 15 seconds).
When prompted, follow the on-screen instructions to set up your device.
Once done, try registering the device again and let me know if it helps.

Yes I am using the same details that I use for my other Echo/Alexa devices but this one will not recognise my account. When I called Amazon for help I had to give them the DSN of the device and they suggested that I asked for a replacement because it may have been blocked, stolen etc.
I bought this in hood faith from a seller on Ebay and the product was brand new and still sealed.
Does anyone know if it is possible to unblock/unlock the device? I can't return it now and it cost me £104.50!

Thank you. I contacted Yen but there is nothing he can do. Amazon have blocked it. It seems I have bought a stolen one from Ebay!
